Terms of Use
Last updated: 07/07/2026
About these terms
These Terms of Use govern your use of the EMDRConnect website (the "Site"), operated by Mental Healthier("we", "us", "our"). By using the Site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Site.
What EMDRConnect is (and is not)
EMDRConnect is an information directory that helps members of the public find EMDR therapists in the UK. We provide contact information and professional details to help you make your own enquiries.
We are not a healthcare provider. We do not provide therapy, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We are not a party to any arrangement you enter into with a practitioner listed on the Site.
We do not endorse or recommend individual practitioners. Inclusion in the directory is not a recommendation, endorsement, or guarantee of any practitioner's qualifications, competence, suitability, or conduct. Listing does not mean we have verified a practitioner's credentials. You are responsible for satisfying yourself as to a practitioner's suitability, including checking their professional registration directly with the relevant body.
Not a crisis or emergency service
EMDRConnect is not an emergency service and must not be used in a crisis.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, or you are experiencing a mental-health emergency, contact emergency services on 999, go to your nearest A&E, or contact your GP.
For urgent emotional support, you can contact:
- Samaritans: free, 24/7, on 116 123.
- NHS 111 (option 2 for mental health).
Enquiries made through this Site are not monitored and may not receive an immediate response. Do not rely on this Site or its contact forms for urgent help.
Accuracy of information
We compile practitioner information from publicly available professional sources and aim to keep it accurate, but we do not warrant that all information is complete, current, or error-free. Details may change without our knowledge. Always confirm important details (qualifications, registration, availability, fees) directly with the practitioner.
Your use of the Site
You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or abusive content through any form.
- Use the Site or its contact forms to send spam, marketing, or harassing messages.
- Attempt to scrape, harvest, or bulk-extract data from the Site.
- Attempt to disrupt or compromise the Site's security or operation.
We may restrict or withdraw access for misuse.
Contact forms and enquiries
Contact forms are provided so you can make a genuine enquiry with a practitioner. Messages are relayed to the practitioner you select. We are not responsible for practitioners' responses, response times, or conduct. See our Privacy Policy for how enquiry data is handled.
Practitioner listings, corrections and removal
If you are a listed practitioner, you may request correction or removal of your listing at any time by contacting us on our contact page. See our Privacy Policy, section 8.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The Site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
- We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Site, from reliance on information in the directory, or from any interaction, arrangement, or treatment involving a practitioner found via the Site.
- Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud).
Your relationship with any practitioner is solely between you and them.
